It’s about knowing exactly how many photons are hitting your part every single time. Whether it’s the first piece of the day or the ten-thousandth, the result should be identical.
The balancing act of photon density
Here is the tricky part: irradiance and wavelength. When you crank up the wattage or tighten the reflector, you’re packing more energy into a smaller space. That’s great because it means you can speed up your conveyor belt and get more product out the door without worrying about “wet” spots. But you can’t just blast everything with max power. If you do, you’ll warp your parts or burn the material. You have to find that sweet spot where the lamp is powerful enough to work fast, but not so hot that it ruins the substrate.
